Dette niveau er for trænede heste, der allerede har forstået at reagere perfekt, for trykpunkterne på niveau 1. På dette niveau anvendes trykpunkterne på tungen stadig, men flere og flere flyttes over på laderne. Ved at give hesten mere tungefrihed, bliver den på denne måde belønnet for sin lydighed, ved at få et endnu mildere bid i munden. Er hesten ikke parat til at lystre på dette bid, vendes tilbage til niveau 1.
